Community Service Supervision
Tiftarea Loss Prevention coordinates with Governmental and Non-Profit work sites that uses community service workers sentenced by courts A coordinator assist in supervising and tracking community service hours completed by the offenders. This information is electronically stored in a database for immediate access with weekly reports submitted to Probation Officers. If a worker is late or absent, performs unsatisfactorily, or behaves unacceptably, the organization notifies the Tiftarea Loss Prevention’s Coordinator who takes immediate action on the complaint. The offender may face sanctions such as reprimand, incarceration or revocation of Probation status.
Community Service Program has the following goals:
To require offenders, through community service work, perform productive and lawful activity and to be associated with lawful and productive citizens.
To offer public not-for-profit organizations and governmental agencies the opportunity to utilize the services of offenders ordered to perform community service;
To require offenders to participate in a form of reparation to the community.
Tiftarea Loss Prevention currently contract with Professional Court Services to supervise community service for probationers assigned to Professional Court Services.Tiftarea Loss Prevention accepts Community Services workers assigned by other courts that live in the Tiftarea. We will provide the Community Service Worker and their Probation Officers with written reports and documentation of the work completed.
This service requires and administrative fee of $25.00 to be paid by the person wishing to complete their community service under the supervision of Tiftarea Loss Prevention.
Community Service Worker must sign a written agreement.
Community Service Can be completed during the Below Listed Hours all community service worker report to the Tifton Police Department and meet with Steve Hyman.
Monday - Thursday 07:45am - 12:00pm and 12:45pm - 5:00pm
Friday - 07:45am - 12:00pm ( No Community on Friday Evenings)
Saturdays - 07:45am - 2:00pm (No Community Service Completed on Sunday)
